You will need a contract for any Assisted Living Facility in Broward County, as well as the whole state of Florida, period.

Be advised that many times people do things that are not legal. A Licensed Facility must have a contract if they are operating an Assisted Living Facility in Broward County.

Every state requires a contract!

In this contract, you will find the monthly costs and a list of services that the individual will be receiving at the Broward Assisted Living Community. This is why a contract is needed to protect you, the resident, and the Assisted Living Facility.

It is very important to know that a contract may be broken by giving a written notice in the time frame required by the state in which the facility is located, and by the community policy. A Facility can also give you notice, telling you that they want your loved one to vacate the community.

So, the answer to the question, “Is it necessary to have a contract in an Assisted Living Community?” is YES!
