With the support of his parents, he began his musical education when he was twelve years old, auditioning for the Opera's Children's Choral Group at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires under the conduction of Valdo Sciamarella. He continued performing at Teatro National CervantesYouth Professional Choir under the conduction of Nestor Sadoff and went on to become a church organist at Jesus Misericodioso Church, forming his own choral group, De Todos Tiempos, specializing in Barroco, Renaissance and popular, contemporary music from Argentina.
At age 20, Mr. Fortuna earned his first Master of Arts degree at the Santa Ana Music Conservatory, as one of their youngest graduates. His concentration was in Music Education, majoring in piano, with a minor in choral conducting. In Argentina, he also taught music in public and private schools from kindergarten through high school as well as to seniors.
As an excellent communicator, resulting in the creation of an encouraging, stimulating, and empowering learning environment, building strong rapport and cooperative relationships with individuals at all levels from various cultural, educational, socio-economic and social backgrounds.
Mr. Fortuna was awarded his second Master’s Degree in Health Care Management for Nursing Home Administration from Lynn University in 1998. He then furthered his studies and received a Graduate Certificate in Aging Studies in 1999. That same year he became an Activity Consultant, certified by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals. Committed to fostering competency and education of new healthcare professionals so they may reach their full potential, dedicating themselves to making a difference in the lives of Long-Term Care Residents, producing creative, ethical, and knowledgeable professionals, and forming tomorrow’s leaders.
Create his own company, Placement Counselors Corporation, in September 1999. His company currently represents over 1500 Alternative Housing communities in the southeast region of Florida. He also continues to be a consultant for the above-mentioned facilities, as well for Large and small corporations through 55+ Projects.
Specialties: Mr. Fortuna currently has his own private practice as a Geriatric Specialist and He continues to develop Placement Counselors Corp. as one of the most interesting and resourceful companies devoted to the senior community. Their ultimate goal is to educate and protect our senior population.
As one of his business, MR. Fortuna is the owner and publisher of 55+MAGAZINE in Southeast Florida. Bi-lingual Magazine dedicated to the Baby boomers, Caregivers and health care professionals.
As part of his continue evolvement Humberto became a Certified Energy Healer, Certified Angel Healer Practitioner, Certified Tarot Reader, and a Certified Past Life Regressions and Akashic Records Practitioner. He also became a Certified Sound Healer and Reiki Master among other modalities. He is fusing his knowledge and experience with all these new techniques and philosophies to further his practice as an Energy Healer while dedicating his time to educating and promoting Alternative and Complementary Medicine with a Clinical Mind.
As part of his ongoing consulting services and integrating all his knowledge, he specializes in Organizational Psychosocial Consulting and Coaching: Workforce assessment management, culture, business objectives, and challenges solving using psychological principles and research methods.
